Guest guest
. . . I suspect that, if the kids get "real" milk, they won't drink quite as much. It should be more satisfying. A woman I know works for a private school in Dallas. The owner decided to make the school lunches as healthy as possible - organic whenever possible. . . She said, with a little creativity, there was little difference in their food costs . . . and the kids were calmer and learning better too. The owner hosts sessions to teach the parents about the importance of good nutrition for the kids . .. She finds out that the kids are teaching their parents too! . . . The cabbage had to go though . .. most of the kids didn' t like it. It's ridiculous that we have to pay extra to get foods that haven't been messed with! . .. Guest guest
Thats exactly what I was saying...I can't believe that it is illegal for me to buy the kind of milk I want for my family. ~ married to DH Mark, and sharing the lives of nine busy children. <3 <3 Re: Fw: raw milk---is this how you purchase "raw" milk? . . . Guest guest
Rogene, The reason we have to pay extra for organic foods is because we are paying for the very strict testing that has to be done on foods, to make sure they are really organic. Conventional foods are a lot cheaper, because they are ALLOWED to put things in them (bugs and pesticides, dyes, etc.) That's so that we will get SLOWLY sicker, so that the medical and pharmacutical industries will prosper more...they all work together. This is gross, but did you know that in an average candy bar, you are eating somwhere around 18 insect legs? I read that and have a very hard time eating any sort of candy bar anymore! lol It goes the same for tomatoes (I watched a film on it one time)...I saw what is " allowed " to go in the making of ketchup. GROSS!!! Lots and lots of bugs! Same with peanut butter too, btw. --- " jdebolt@... Guest guest
Yeah, it's disgusting. I had visited a tomato plant when I was in school. Making anything with tomatos contains tons of bugs-ketchup, salsa, pizzas. I think in chocolate, the amount allowed is 8 insect legs. Peanut butter is supposedly one of the worst too. --- Rogene S <saxony01@...> wrote: > Bugs permitted in food?
