Guest guest
Dear Pazalways: Thanks for your very detailed and well-writen sharing. For what it's worth, I'd like to share my current regime (addressing chronic dysbiosis). I can vouch for the effectiveness of Gerson Therapy, having used a modified form of it to various degrees since 2003. It has been an excellent general cleanout and energizer, and continues to serve (I'm doing 3 enemas per day currently). I haven't been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, but my brother has it, hence my attention to this group. I have been trying to reduce my resident population of Candida Albicans, and we had my brother tested for Candida blood antigens--he was positive. I am now taking a couple of prescription medicines (Nystatin and Nizoral) in an effort to reduce Candida. Die-off from Nystatin has been intense, and the coffee enemas have been a lifesaver in keeping it from overwhelming me (although I was overwhelmed recently and had to pause and re-group, adding Nizoral, which is milder for die-off). The Candida effort was inspired by my very positive response to GAPS/Specific Carbohydrate Diet (it cut bowel inflammation within 5 days of starting the diet--I'm on the candida-modified program and transitioning toward Bee's diet). I've been struggling with throat discomfort for around 6 years, and it's been hard to tell if the Candida treatment will take care of it, but I'm beginning to sense that it will. I have ups and downs and am currently having a " down " day (throat not feeling good) but am correlating that with today's aggressive use of Nystatin. In the big-picture, the die-off response to medication is gradually diminishing and the baseline condition is clearly improving. The enema modifications I'm using for Candida are: morning coffee enema(s) has(have) Nystatin added, and some time later a coffee/yogurt enema is used. The idea is to re-seed the gut environment with friendly bacteria after the fungus is reduced. An additional tool I've found useful is the bentonite/psyllium shake (functioning like the " snake " plumbing tool to help ease material such as dead biomass out of the small and large intestines). I respect the work of , ND in this area, and have ordered his kit from the firm " Arise and Shine, " though I've not yet adopted his full program. I should note that up until recently I had modified the Gerson juice formula into exclusively carrot juice to be compatible with the SCD anti-candida diet. Because carrots are not in Bee's plan, I'm off the juices for the time being (the carrot juice didn't seem to cause problems, and I added extreme amounts of raw garlic cloves to it, in addition to diatomaceous earth).
