Prescribed Tramadol today scared of meds side effects

I was given a prescription by a Pain Management Doctor today. It was my first

visit.

I told him i have panic disoder and fear of meds. I have been allergic to so

many and had very bad reactions. He also gave me lidocaine patches, and here I

sit terrified to take one cause the ist of

possivle side effects is terrifying.

I do take one medicine (Librium) for anxiety. Anyone have side effects on this

medicine. HELP please I am embarrassed. Is anyone like me?

I am even afraid of the patches because I was given an epidural during labor and

had a hard time breathing so they stopped fast.
