the May 2012 Awake! mag has an article on the proboscis monkey, and about its

large stomach,and how by using bacteria to ferment cellulose, they are able to

digest on leaves and foods other primate cannot digest. It even mentions they

cannot use sweet fruits, as it ferments too rapidly, and they bloat, and can

even die.
