Rogene,

A positive ANA test prior to implantation is the only decent test available

right now. My ANA was positive, which is why Dr. Leu warned me about

implant illness.

Thank God you were already going to Dr. Leu when you were

considering implants, and that he's aware of the illnesses they can

cause.

Hi Sis,

Yes, I do thank God that Dr. Leu warned me and that I found this list. I

definitely would have been one of you that reacted strongly to implants. I

have absolutely no doubt about it. When I set my BA surgery date, I had a

voice at the back of my head telling me to do my research, that implants

were not as safe as my PS wanted me to believe. I have learned too many

times not to ignore that tiny little voice.

Hi Kenda,

I had that voice telling me the same thing, and I ignored it. I

usually don't ignore the voice, but for some reason this time I put

my blinders on. Don't know if I'll ever be normal again, but I'm

much more at peace than I was last year at this time. I'm comparing

summers in my head. My husband and I usually go places, have

parties, etc., but last summer there was no laughter. This summer

we've gone to see Springsteen, we had a big party for my

stepdaughter, and in a few weeks we're going to a baseball game.

Last year I didn't want to leave the house, no less go to concerts,

have parties or go to ballgames. We were both so depressed last

summer.
