Oh my gosh... Were you yellow BEFORE implants or did you become yellow? I read that and my heart skipped a beat -though I'm not sure why -NOTHING surprises me. I am SO yellow that I cannot find makeup to match me very well. I have to wear good makeup, because my skin is sensitive and easily irritated now, so I usually go get color matched at an Estee Lauder or Lancome counter, then go seek it out on eBay. (I also buy some of their anti aging products on eBay -way less.) Anyway, I'm so yellow that Lancome had a PURE yellow compact (actually meant to correct dark undereye circles) -and it's what I use on my whole face. It's since been discontinued, but I had found it on eBay and stocked up on a few thankfully. They also have a shade, one of their lightest, in Color ID (I-10) that looks almost pure yellow and I can mix it with a shade that's close to make it more yellow. I usually wear pure yellow concealer by Lancome, too. (Maquicomplete, or something like that, in Corrector {yellow}.) The people at the makeup counters can never get over how yellow I am, or that I can wear pure yellow makeup and it looks skin colored on me. In areas on my body where there are curves and skin sort of comes together (like where your neck meets the shoulder), it's solid yellow. I've always been warmed skin, but NEVER YELLOW before. It's beyond GOLDEN. Are you like this? Anyone else? Brig PS: Shari, I also keep meaning to tell you... MTV is where I first heard about Saline Implants causing poisoning. It was back in 2000 when they did 1 special on it. Then when you, and the other girls, did more specials it really brought more awareness out -for this, I'm grateful. It let my husband see that it's not just mumbo jumbo I read on the internet -it's real people. Same goes for this board. He's always taken it seriously, but more so now. It lit a fire under his BUTT! Guest guest
Brigit It was definitely AFTER the implants.... when my coloring changed.. I wear MAC.... they also had to completely change my color that I had been wearing for years.... I am darker complected but I had to go with a more yellowy color and much less pink if that makes sense... I work the same color since before I was married until probably 2001 or so... I was just wearing their foundation powder combo as I had really nice skin... then it started to change.. I started wearing liquid foundation for the first time - not because of age - because the dark circles under my eyes were soooo bad..... I was wearing a lite foundation and then a lite powder w/ concealer... then I had to change that color as well.... the people at the MAC counter thought this was weird as well.... Actually - I went to a protest with Rogene and a lot of other girls a while back.. right before the FDA was working on the approval of the new silicones.... a year or two? I am horrible w/ dates... anyways - Rogene saw me and also said that immediately.. she actually called the airport as I was headed back and had them pick me up w/ a wheelchair I was looking so awful... Anyways - my makeup was changes several times over a 3-4 year period - prob needs it again... if I do not wear concealer I look dead.... my eyes look so black underneath. I do not have bad wrinkles yet or age spots, etc.... I actually - according to lots of people but myself look younger than I am.. when I did the MTV spot I was 33 - almost 34.. they wanted under 26.. took me as I looked younger but did not put my age on the screen - I mentioned this before as i think this is why my hubby's interview did not get on there as he does look his age.... oh well - I think I look or at least feel 50 years older - my body is at least! thanks about the MTV thing.... I am glad it helped... Lots of people have asked me.... why would you go to the trouble of having all those people in your home - day in and day out for 4 days - and get 0 $ for it? how is that worth is when you got 3 minutes when it was said and done???? many have said this.... that right there was the reason - you email makes all the difference in the world - just 1 person saying they saw it and it helped them get help or change their mind??? worth all the inconvenience in the world... I have had many come to me and tell me this so multiply this times at least 20... makes me feel great.... I'd do it again in heartbeat!!! good luck to all!!! shari shari
