Guest guest
, LOL!!! I have a friend (he is beautiful, because he takes such wonderful care of his body) and he decided to take garlic daily as a permanent regimen. Well, he works on an assembly line and all the people on the line were saying that he smelled like garlic for 2 weeks!! He doesn't smell like garlic anymore, but he still takes raw garlic every morning and looks beautiful, and he is never sick. So I agree, start when you won't have to be going anywhere, and please, keep it up! God bless, KJ ----- Original Message -----
Guest guest
Could you share the recipe as well? Guest guest
KJ I used to work with a guy years ago who started taking garlic daily and then when he was working out at the gym (and working up a sweat) the other people around him commented about the garlic smell! He was taking it in pill form, though, and switched to the odorless kind. To think, though, that I wasn't even working out - I wasn't sweating, so you wouldn't think that the garlic would have been coming out that strongly! Is your friend taking actual garlic cloves?? I'd be interested to find out if the body eventually adapts somehow and doesn't produce the odor after a while. This is from " The Cleanse Cookbook " by Dreher. (www.transformyourhealh.com). It's a good cookbook with recipes specifically designed for cleansing and detox. (And no, this isn't a promotion - I wouldn't benefit in any way if anyone purchased one - I'm just recommending what I consider to be a good book. ) ============ Roasted Garlic and Fennel Soup 1 Tbs. vegetable seasoning 2 large carrots 3 Tbs extra virgin olive oil or flax seed oil 6 heads of garlic 2 stalks of celery, coarsely chopped 2 heads of fennel, coarsely chopped 1 large onion, peeled and coarsely chopped 1 cup fresh apple juice 4 cups vegetable stock 2 Tbs Italian parsley, chopped Preheat oven to 400 degrees Place all the vegetables, apple juice and garlic in a large baking pan, cover with foil, and roast in the oven until the garlic heads are soft and the garlic can be easily pressed out. Press the garlic out of the heads into the blender. Be sure to discard the skins. Add all the other ingredients into the blender and puree. Serve hot with a parsley garnish. Makes 8 cups of soup. Guest guest
Hi , I am not positive on this but I believe he takes either the whole clove or the minced cloves they sell in the stores because I remember him saying to me that he didn't trust the manufactured stuff. I don't see him anymore, so I cannot ask him, but one or the other must be true because I know him to be a really natural person. God bless, KJ > Is your friend taking actual garlic cloves?? Guest guest
Ok ...now you're starting to sound as crazy as me! What an expedition. You know what happens when you get too many stones out too soon don't you? LOL.... of DH " People are like stain glass windows; they sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is alight within.
