Guest guest
Two questions about the Master Cleanse: 1. Can you do it and still target yeast? From what I read it seems to make sense that you could -- if it is really cleaning the walls of the digestive tract, it could hit yeast living in there, but I don't know about the sugar and the systemic yeast. Can anyone speak about that? If I have missed post on this, forgive me -- I can go to the archives. 2. Can you do it and not lose weight? I am six feet tall and currently weigh about 138-140. 137 is as low as I go when I am working out. My body fat is higher since I have not been working out ( since Feb/March when I got sick), but I believe I am losing muscle, as I am losing weight with no evidence of my " six pack " -- it is covered up with a little layer of fat. Concerned about losing muscle. You know, the initial stage of the anti-yeast diet is a lot like the Atkins diet my mom was on for a while. I frowned on it because from what I learned (in a metabolic seminar) of the way your body ends up metabolizing fats when it has no carbohydrates to use. I hate that diet. It ends up eating muscle instead of fat, after about 4 days. In two days I will have been on the initial stages of the anti-candida diet for two weeks. I am waiting for my yeast books to come from half.com, and am hoping to find something I can branch out to eat. I have been eating a lot of kale -- bought a large bag and it really doesn't cook down the way spinach does -- I can't seem to finish the bag. Last night I made some and started gagging when I tried to finish it. My body just said " enough kale! " In a day or two, I will hide the rest of it in a soup and cook it limp. That'll teach it! Guest guest
Dawn, there is a website called Vita-Gem Enterprises, it's Tom Woloshyn's site from , B.C. Canada. I trained with him a few years ago. There some info on there, and if you have any questions he may be able to answer them. All I know is that your body loses all the garbage out of it and you do lose weight, but the weightis simply stuff your body dosn't need. To gain weight, I had to put on " muscle " - I took Kung Fu...I loved it and I felt confident as well. Today it seems popular to go to the gym, etc. I know it's difficult to pick a path that works for you...there are so many suggestions out there. Just research and go with your intuition.
