Guest guest
Rogene, I was able to get my doctor to listen to me about the yeast .I pulled down my pants and said look at this big red bumps front and back. I told him several ladies on my support group were given Diflucan he wrote out the prescription as well as antibiotic for the staph, Bacteria is eating you isn't it, that is when I knew he took this seriously. I had a smoothie for dinner last night I had not taken any medicine and boy did My eshophugus burn I also look about 5 to 6 months pregnanat . I t starts just under the breasts and is rounded and protruding I can feel a sort of ridge there, My question is I can't have dairy , no fruit now, some vegetables hurt because of the IBS and acid, No red meat, I hate fish, no sugar or refined foods. What does that leave me. I can't afford to buy the makers diet or the book yet. I have to wait for my welfare check on the 5th. Any ideas what I can eat. I have been eating dinner turkey from the deli . It is low in sodium, And chicken, or lean cuisine. And I was eating fruits and veggies. But no more fruit because of the yeast. Again thank you Rogene Terri P HawaiiRogene S <saxony01@...> wrote: Terri . . . Your mammogram report is wonderful! . . . I know that's a load off your mind! . . . Guest guest
Terri, I'm glad to hear you got the attention of your doctor! . . . Finally! It will probably be really boring eating what your body will tolerate . . . but I'd stick with those few things you can eat . . . especially whatever veggies your system tolerates . You can make up any nutritional deficiency with vitamins for now. . . There are soooooooo veggies! . . . If you can eat them raw, so much the better . . . Rubin recommends a diet very high in raw veggies and fruits. . . Nuts are good (except peanuts) . . . Can you eat whole grain breads? . . . Drink Rice milk? How about oatmeal? Spinach? Squash? Califlower? Beets? If you'll concentrate on the foods you can eat, you'll do better than if you think about those you can't! . . . Thinking about what you CAN'T eat is torture! Hopefully the medications will help calm your throat down so you'll be able to eat more normally soon. You might be able to find "The Maker's Diet" or "The Great Physician's RX" and "The Yeast Connection" at the library . . . It's terribly important to understand how important it is to manage the fungal/yeast/Candida issues! The good news is that you are beginning to understand what you're dealing with . . . Guest guest
Rogene, The problem I am also having is my stomach just burns the last two days. Before I even started the DIFLUCAN,cephalexin. It is so painful I think I have to go to the gastro DR. It is so horrible. Raw vegetables are really hard for me to digest. Years ago I had an ulcer and could only eat cooked chicken and cooked veggies. Thank you for the food tips though. It is not going to be too hard because my stomach hurts up high so I feel almost full. Last night it was gurgaling and then the pain set it. I took Tagament, pepcid. Now tonight its back.I don't know how long I can go like this. They need to put a tube down there and see what is happening. I think it might be the lining of the esophagus. Guest guest
, Has anyone mentioned a hernia? . . . acid reflux? . . . The gastro doc recently gave me a sample of Aciphex . . . Guest guest
Rogene, Just an FYI I am trying to get over from having a really bad reaction to Prevacid and then Protonix. They have given me the tremors and anxious and made my mind race with crazy thoughts. I've had problems with a hiatal hernia long time ago but this time I had the hiccups and was drinking Kombuscha and it must have fried my esophagus. Anyway my doctor told me that the PPI's such as Prevacid and Aciphex etc. work by building up in your central nervous system. Needless to say they aren't for me. So I'm sticking with Zantac and babying the burning with aloe vera, flax seed soaked in water overnight and GastroSmoothe by Enzematic Therapy. Guest guest
Rogene, I didn't ask the pharmacist but I just about memorized the FDA site under Prevacid. Didn't see anything their and I looked online at the insert that comes with the medication. Don't think I'll ever touch Kombucha again. I always bought the raspberry because it was the lowest in sugar. I guess being fermented gives it an acid base. The frustrating thing for me is that all of the liquid stuff for acid are all loaded with Manitol, Sorbitol, Saccharin etc. I'm real prone to migraines anyway and the artificial sweeteners are sometimes a trigger for me. I think maybe part of the irration started from having such a long surgery. The hiccups and the Kombucha just did me in. Penni Re: Re: SSI (Terri hang in there...) Penni . . . Guest guest
Rogene, What kind of hernia? I have this hardess that is very rounded like I am 5or 6 months prgnant. But it has been hurting 3 straight days, I am going to call my Primary and see if he can see me or refer me to gastro DR. I would be interested in this hernia thing. Can you explain more or remind me who has it? Thanks Rogene Terri P HawaiiRogene S <saxony01@...> wrote: Penni . . . Guest guest
Terri, If you stomach is too acid, you can't get the necessary nutrients from your food! . . . If it's because you have a hernia, that can be fixed . . . My mother was having a terrible time. She has a really bad hernia . .. At 93, they didn't want to operate, but they did some kind of stretching procedure that made a difference. . . I think she's on some medication too though . . . To tell the truth, she's on so much pain medication, she probably doesn't know whether she's hurting or not . . . At least she's not choking any longer. Have you tried the Master Cleanse yet? . . . It sounds counter-intutive . .. but it may help . . . It would bear investigation to see. Maybe checking with the people promoting it? Guest guest
, Here's a description of different types of hernias: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hernia With my mother, the opening between her diaphram and stomach failed, and much of her stomach has pushed up into the chest cavity. . . This prevents her from eating very much - or even having much of an appetite. . . . The fix would be pulling her stomach down to it's proper location and securing it with a clamp (probably silicone). A friend just had the surgery . . . It was tough! They can dx you by putting a tube down your throat (you're in a light sleep) and taking a look. It's basically a five minute procedure . .. but you'll spend the better part of the day through it. . . . Lotsa burning. With this type of hernia, the gastric juices in your stomach come up into the esophogas. . . Rogene

Tom also trained me when I lived in , B.C. from 1995 - 97.
