Guest guest
Hi Cherie, If candida is coming back after you complete treatment, I'd look at your diet and use of probiotics. What did Dr. Leu prescribe for candida? He's very big on treating spouses of those of us with candida trouble because it can be passed back and forth. I have to be extra careful because my husband's diet is terrible. Guest guest
Thanks for asking Cherie, I had a followup appointment with my oncologist yesterday. . . He had a no-show, so I had plenty of time. A very good appointment. He answered all my questions very thoroughly. Labs tests indicate I'm doing fine in all respects . . . I'm feeling great too! We just returned from a fabulous five week vacation that I'm still basking in the memories of . . . I'm reviewing the 1600+ photos I took . .. so the memories will be around for some time! He understand, and supports, my decision not to take estrogen blocking medication. . . It may be a good decision for some women, but for me, I felt as though someone pressed my "fast aging button" . . . We also discussed my chances for reoccurance . . . which, because we caught it early, are reasonably low. Low enough to make taking medication to reduce the chances a poor option (IMHO). . . . We also discussed the implant scenario . . . This time he seemed to be listening, rather than appearing skeptical. I left him (and a couple other doctors in the clinic) one of Zuckerman's booklets on my last visit. BTW, he agrees that implant capsules should be completely removed. We also had preventatively treated my husband, and his arthritic knee healed. Now he has been off the treatment for a while, and it's bad again. That was kind of a light bulb for me that maybe that's what the problem is. We are going to try that route again and hopefully get some relief. I was doing so much better for a while there, and I think it may have been after the stuff Dr. Leu gave me for yeast. It will be a year on the 19th since explant, and the road to recovery has been sporadic for sure. But I am encouraged by the feeling good times!! I would like to start jogging again, but walking is my limit right now. My body is a flabby saggy mess, but I am just praying for good health first. I think that too much exercise puts stress on the immune system. Are you still undergoing any cancer treatment Rogene? Guest guest
Hi Cherie, I remember reading your posts many months back-- you had your explant around the time I did (early November). I have had a sporadic journey to recovery as well-- I saw steady improvement, than it seemed to plateau, now I have declined somewhat, with some of my old symptoms coming back. I, too, would love to run and work out again-- I walk for 45 minutes every day,and have since I got sick, but any more than that exhausts me. I work out with free weights 3x week, and that wipes me out, too, but I think keeping my muscles strong helps in the long run. I am glad you are having some good days-- hopefully they will increase in number, until they are the norm! Bindi Hi Rogene, Patty, Sis ... Hi girlsI haven't been able to get to the site too often, but I wanted to say hi and that I am still not doing so good. My inflammation is pretty bad and have started some new supplements from Dr. Leu (Inflamma-Blox and Viragraphis). I think that the yeast problem might be back. We also had preventatively treated my husband, and his arthritic knee healed. Now he has been off the treatment for a while, and it's bad again. That was kind of a light bulb for me that maybe that's what the problem is. We are going to try that route again and hopefully get some relief. Guest guest
Hi Cherie, Thanks for checking in. I'm approaching my one year mark as well - November 7th. I hope that with Dr. Leu's help, you'll start feeling better again. Guest guest
Hi Rogene, Welcome back from your vacation, we missed you. Glad to hear that your doctor visit went well. I'm doing well, still having ups and downs, but slowly improving. It's just going to take time, I was born with a weak immune system, and that's probably why I reacted so quickly and violently to implants. Guest guest
Hi Kenda! Dr. Leu had me on Berbercap and ADP. We treated my husband, but not until after mine was done, and I think it may have been too late. I'm hoping maybe if we are treated at the same time it will help. They did the lab test for me and found these two things to work well. I last had a round of Viragraphis in case I was fighting a longstanding virus (previous experience with parvovirus B19 not too long before I got sick). He is also treating me with the InflammaBlox to try to get my inflammation down. Over the last several weeks, my back has become EXTREMELY tight, I have hardly any flexibility. Even with the small amount I can move, the movement is very painful. I am so not used to this. I wonder if a trip to a chiropractor would help? Thanks Kenda Cherie --- In , Kenda Skaggs <skaggs@...> wrote: > > Hi Cherie, > > If candida is coming back after you complete treatment, I'd look at your > diet and use of probiotics. Guest guest
Five week vacation - wow!! that's great. My husband is supportive too, so important! I think you have very good judgment and will make the right decision about treatment - I also think you know your body so well that you can tell the doctors a few things. So great to hear from you. Guest guest
Bindi I remember you too. I'm sorry that you have had ups and downs with your health, but that encourages me too. thanks, Cherie > > Hi Cherie, > I remember reading your posts many months back-- you had your explant around the time I did (early November). > > I have had a sporadic journey to recovery as well-- I saw steady improvement, than it seemed to plateau, now I have declined somewhat, with some of my old symptoms coming back.
