I teach it now as well b/c it makes yoga accesible even when you can do a minute and only some breathing, then build up to simple movements with breath. For the circulation to flow and energy to incrase. All from a chair! Sharing with you all same simple 1-5 min meditations in chairs or gentle warm ups/yoga postures/exercise you can do from a couch or chair or longer if able. Here is a 10 min sequence I wrote, in this article..... http://mylifeyoga.com/2011/08/20/chair_yoga_while_seated/ And a 1 min chair yoga sun salute (w/ photos to learn it, but can repeat if comfortable 2-6 x) Do not continue if it aggregates any existing pain or discomfort. Takea rest if you need or make smaller/more gentle movemetns. DO not go to full fwd bend if you get dizzy.
