Remember, if you are taking calcium, your body will not absorb it unless you are taking vitamin D with it. Ten to Fifteen minutes exposure to the sun, three times a week is enough to help your body product Vitamin D. Your body produces the best vitamin D. If you must be in the sun for more time than this, please wear a hat, light weight cotton slacks, and a long sleeve light colored shirt. Don't forget sunblock too. There are all kinds of food that is vitamin D fortified. Especially milk, and other dairy products. Vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin that helps the body absorb calcium. Fat-soluble vitamins are stored in the body's fatty tissue. If you take too much your body doesn't dispose of it through your urine, it keeps it. This can cause several serious problems.
