Guest guest
, My chiropractor is doing a lot of research on a unit similar looking to a TENS but different in function. It is called an Alpha Stim machine. He swears by it for fibromyalgia pain, depression and for nerve related problems as well. Check out alphastim.com. And check with my PT person as well. They have a different kind of stimulator they use in the office, and it has a different function--I'm not sure what she told me the name was. Guest guest
Kenda, Please be very careful with those types of machines!! I don't want to go into a lot of detail why, but to be short and sweet...both my parents died from using one! Within one month of each other. If you do use one, make sure that you have a professional who has used one many times to do it!diana crocker <dwcrn@...> wrote: --- In , Kenda Skaggs <skaggs@...> wrote:>> ,> > My chiropractor is doing a lot of research on a unit similar lookingto a> TENS but different in function. Guest guest
Oh, something I forgot to mention....my physiotherapist uses ultrasound on my neck. Wow! It goes really deep and breaks up any scar tissue, etc. Love, Sunny > > > > , > > > > My chiropractor is doing a lot of research on a unit similar looking > to a > > TENS but different in function. Guest guest
Oh, my Lord....Leyna, I'm so sorry to hear that about your parents. One does have to be careful about any new device. That's shocking. Love, Sunny > > > > , > > > > My chiropractor is doing a lot of research on a unit similar looking > to a > > TENS but different in function. It is called an Alpha Stim machine. Guest guest
Leyna, Thanks for the head's up but my trust my chiropractor completely. I am sorry to hear about your parent's death. Do you know what happened? This seems really unusual because the machines are not powerfully strong. Perhaps it is a different machine than what I am using. Guest guest
Kenda, Are you sure its wise to trust someone completely like you do with your doctor? He/she is only human, after all-he's not God. Anyway, yes, the machine was the same thing-the unit thing that hooks up electrode type things to you, and you turn it on and it was supposed to get rid of illnesses. The person who was using it on my parents turned it up way too high-they were elderly and it was too much for their hearts.Kenda Skaggs <skaggs@...> wrote: Leyna,Thanks for the head's up but my trust my chiropractor completely.I am sorry to hear about your parent's death. Guest guest
Leyna, I trust all of my healthcare providers completely. I think is wise find healthcare providers you can trust -- with your life. I have in-depth conversations about what my needs are and how they will treat me. I am very proactive and involved with my healthcare. Mind you, I don't have the same feeling toward all doctors, only the two that I choose to treat with and have treated with for several years. As I said previously, I'm quite certain the machine was a different type than the one I use. There are many electrode-type machines that are sold for healing illness. The one I use cannot be turned up high enough to cause heart problems. Kenda > Kenda, > Are you sure its wise to trust someone completely like you do with your > doctor?
