Guest guest Posted May 12, 2012 Report Share Posted May 12, 2012 Started reading some about that.Foods with solanaine were not considered edibles before the 1800s.Important to know what foods contain solanine.That Night shade book talks about it.My friend is still reading it,so,I have not read it yet.I think she said cauliflour has solanine,and night shades do.Says the potatoe plant is much like tobacco,same family.She was saying something like people working in the fields with these plants were dying or something.
