Guest guest
Shari, We live in Nitro, which is about 15 miles (20 minutes) from ton. It's about 40 miles (45 minutes) from Huntington. Our humidity stays between 85-100%. Usually on the high side. On the USDA Hardiness Chart (for planting plants, gardens, and flowers), we are in a Zone 6, but there are parts of the state north of us that are in a Zone 5 -which is a bit cooler. (That may be the areas to which you refer.) Our summer days are between 80-100 degrees. Sometimes a 101-102 degrees. On average, it's between 85-95 degrees with 95-100% humidity. Most days, it feels VERY muggy. It's hard to breathe if you have asthma. I would absolutely LOVE to move way north where it's cooler... Vermont, New Hampshire, etc. If not for my parents, we probably would!!! Thanks for the kind words, and good luck to you also with your health! Seizures... shew. Bad stuff. It's hard enough not being able to drive (I can so relate), but to worry when a seizure may hit... that would be SO scary. Brig
