Guest guest
! how exciting. Congrats and blessings! may I ask, was Dr. Melmed the PS who put them in? if not, did you have a hard time finding a Ps to do it enbloc, or was he recommended to you? Thank you! > > Just thought I'd send a quick note and update everyone. I had my > explantation Tuesday by Dr. Melmed in Dallas. Everything went > perfectly. No problems with my heart. Guest guest
HURRAY!!! , those awful poisonous bags are out of your body!! I am only 3 weeks post-plant, and am feeling so great. It's just so wonderful to be free...mentally, as well. It was such a burden for 20 yrs.! Healing prayers are coming your way everyday. Take it easy and don't do too much. It sure is tempting, but I did a little too much the first 3 days, I guess I was still feeling the effects of the anaesthetic and the holy spirit, ofcourse, from all the prayers. Love & Blessings, Sunny > > Just thought I'd send a quick note and update everyone. I had my > explantation Tuesday by Dr. Melmed in Dallas. Everything went > perfectly. No problems with my heart. Guest guest
Congratulations, . Speaking of mentally free (Sunny), my sister just e-mailed me and told me I have an " inner glow " since getting explanted. Last year my skin was ashen and gray looking, and my eyes looked haunted, and my normally full hair looked flat and dull. Now I notice my hair feels great and looks full again, and my skin has color again. Gosh, if six months with those bags in my body made me so sick, I can't imagine what I'd be like if I had them in for years, scary to think about. I'm still on the mend, but I have so much peace. Guest guest
Sunny that's how DR M explained it to me once..hahahah He said your implants are like a thorn...once you remove the thorn your body goes back to normal,,,I so pray this is right. Have your symptoms got better with explant ? How are you feeling ? Did you have a lot of symptoms ? Thanks KAren
Guest guest
Sis, my family have been commenting about how " radiant " I look now. Even the rash on my chest is fading already. My family doctor said I should use moisturizer...uh, I do all the time! It looks like a fungal infection to me, Doc???? Oh, well...he did support me wholly in my explant. I've lost most of my big tummy now and am really motivated to eat well, because I have hope to recover. It really did feel like the " thorn in the finger " analogy. The implants were the thorn and my whole body, the finger. All infected and inflammed. Oh, thank God and you ladies for all the strength to see me through explant. Let's keep on keeping on, God bless you all - ALL-ways! Sunny > > > > > > Just thought I'd send a quick note and update everyone. I had > my > > > explantation Tuesday by Dr. Melmed in Dallas. Guest guest
Sunny . . . I am soooooooo thrilled for you . . . Life is beautiful again! . . . You deserve every bit of it! I do want to comment to others that you've been working hard at making your body healthy for a long time . . . That, unless they are as committed to getting better as you are, that they may not experience such outstanding results as quickly. Guest guest
I have a rash on my chest too-it's not really a rash, but it's a redness on my chest. Some days it's a lot worse than other days. I have a photo somewhere of it being really noticeable. Even my rheumatologist who diagnosed my Fibro could not figure out what it was.Sunny <wellnessnow@...> wrote: Sis, my family have been commenting about how "radiant" I look now. Guest guest
Yes, that's what I was thinking too. I've had it for as long as I can remember! My Mom had something similar (no implants), so I guess I just didn't associate it with my implants, thinking it was something hereditary. > > > > > > > > Just thought I'd send a quick note and update everyone. Guest guest
, as my email said, I honestly feel like a different woman! Yes, I still have some aches and pains...my hands are actually 80% less painful, as are my feet. I could hardly walk in the morning. Within days after explant, my swollen hands (silicone hands) went down and I looked like a 58 yr. old again, with some wrinkles in my hands. Towards the end of having my implants in, I felt like my body was under so much pressure, like I was going to explode AND implode at the same time. It's hard to describe...really weird stuff. I am slowly able to lift more as the days go by. I LOVE my new (I should say old) breast!! I'm about a 34A or B...was 32A when I started all this 20 yrs. ago, but I was also very petite back then. I gained 40 lbs. with my implants...mainly because I felt so crappy and developed somewhat of a food addiction, especially in the evenings. Now I'm able to get on track with proper live-it (I don't like the word " die-it " ...it reminds me of when I WAS dying from toxic poisoning. My prayers are with you everyday!! Love, hugs, affectionate kisses on the cheek - otherwise known as butterfly kisses lol, Sunny > > Sunny that's how DR M explained it to me once..hahahah He said your > implants are like a thorn...once you remove the thorn your body goes back to > normal,,,I so pray this is right. Guest guest
I can only echo what Sunny says here. My swelling has also gone down, as has the pain. I had a cane at the last (before my explant) and could not walk across my living room. That has changed so very much. > > > > Sunny that's how DR M explained it to me once..hahahah He said your > > implants are like a thorn...once you remove the thorn your body goes > back to > > normal,,,I so pray this is right. Guest guest
Rogene, thanks for the support! It sure feels good to be renewed. I can only thank God for the supernatural, fast healing, as for the last year I was extremely ill, no matter what I ate or how much I prayed. I gave up eating healthily because I was so hopeless and depressed. It has been nothing short of a miracle that I feel so good right now!! Love & Prayers, Sunny > > Sunny . . . Guest guest
I've seen a lot of posts about people gaining weight with implants. I myself have gained almost 40 pounds. What exactly causes the weight gain? I mean, I'm still fairly active, and eat very healthy....???? --- Molly Bloom <mollyb54@...> wrote: > I can only echo what Sunny says here. Guest guest
There was an interesting article in the New York Times lately about weight gain and obesity. There is a theory that it may be linked to inflammation. If so, that would also make perfect sense in our situation, > > > > > > > > Sunny that's how DR M explained it to me > > once..hahahah He said your > > > > implants are like a thorn...once you remove the > > thorn your body goes > > > back to > > > > normal,,,I so pray this is right. Guest guest
From the NYT article: Another line of investigation in the field of infectobesity concerns inflammation, a corollary of infection. Obese people have higher levels of two proteins related to inflammation, C-reactive protein and interleukin-6. This may suggest that an infectious agent has set off some sort of derangement in the body's system of fat regulation, making the infected person fat. A different interpretation is not about obesity causation but about its associated risks. Some scientists, including Gordon's colleagues at Washington University, are trying to see whether the ailments of obesity (especially diabetes and high blood pressure) might be caused not by the added weight per se, but by the associated inflammation. > > > > > > > > Sunny that's how DR M explained it to me > > once..hahahah He said your > > > > implants are like a thorn...once you remove the > > thorn your body goes > > > back to > > > > normal,,,I so pray this is right. Guest guest
I am so glad to see this. I forgot to put in my initial post about the weight gain I experienced. At 24 I went from an A to C - and was active, etc, didn't change anything in terms of eating, etc. Withthin 3 months I had gained more than 20 lbs. It was horrible and made no sense for a 24 year old who was active. Molly Bloom <mollyb54@...> wrote: There was an interesting article in the New York Times lately about weight gain and obesity.
