Guest guest
Ladies, I know we need to vent . . . and this is a safe place to vent . . . HOWEVER, we are dealing with a situation where one of our members has been told by her attorney that her posts on certain topics must come down - from wherever the appear on the web . . . Ladies, you have NO IDEA how big an undertaking that can be! . . . We've spent hours and hours purging the files and haven't begun to clean the files yet. Because of the volume of posts, we can't read through each post and delete selectively so we are deleting many posts that contain valuable information. Please be careful about what you posts . . . If you must mention names, be sure you are not creating a legal situation . . . . i.e., If you want to call names, don't say "who" you're calling murderers, etc. . . It appears "they" take exception to the truth! Personally, I've decided to take down any posts that I consider cross the line . . . I'll send the poster a message so they'll know I've taken it down . . . I may not be right all the time, but I'd rather err on the side of caution. I hope everyone understands. Please keep in mind that anything you post is available for anyone to see . . . and will be there forever (whatever that means in internet terms) . . . You can delete any message YOU post, but you can't delete messages that others post with your message embedded in it. In that case your best option is to ask that person to delete the post, or ask one of the moderators for help. Also . . . I've noticed some of the ladies are deleting the name of the person who's post they're embedding . . . Good idea! . . . Just be sure anything that may come back to haunt them is deleted too! Guest guest
Thanks for the info, Rogene. As you say, everyone has access to our site and you never know. Atleast we can email each other...that's a bonus. Bless you again for all your dedicated, consistent work!
