I do the square foot garden using the smaller carrots. Carrots need

a lot of nitrogen and grow poorly in clay soi(which I have here).

I do not have a problem with flies because I use the companion planting. This

helps with ridding some of those pesky pests.

Hope this site helps.

Hello

I have a question about carrots, the raised bed we bought even though its about

three feet deep the directions have us put in a floor 10 inches down. Is that

deep enough to grow carrots? And do you get the carrot flys?

Ciao-

Ange

This is for friends who are gardening. I use this type of planting.

It works! Hope you all give this a try...
