Guest guest
Dear Joanne, I do hope that your father can find some help with his symptoms. It is very difficult sometimes to get those who we love to change. I have four children. I give my older three the information and let them choose what to do with it. They know about the diet and coconut oil, supplements, etc. They can choose how much of that they are willing to implement. They do have their own will and I can't make all their decisions for them, nor do I want to. I want them to think for themselves. If they ask my opinion or advice I will give them the best answer I know of. I pray for them every day and I know that God is working. I have to stand back and let Him do His job. I often have a difficult time doing this as I have to be patient and that is not one of my strong traits. I want everything that I want for them NOW!! LOL Thank you for being patient with me and entertaining my ideas. God bless you!! Love, Margaret
Guest guest
Hi Margaret, Here is an article by Dr Wallace who was author of the article on ketosis for mitochondria diseases. http://www.genethik.de/mitochondrial.htm Here is info on ketosis helping children with mitochondrial defects. Those children were not put on fasting first. I think in general, doctors are getting away from fasting states when beginning ketosis. http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/j.1528-1167.2006.00906.x/full It may not be easy to stay away from all toxins, heavy metals, and all foods that can damage the DNA in our mitochondria. There is some mention of antioxidants as helping, and the basic supplements we take can be of benefit, but a not sure about other supplements. Hope this helps some. I often need drawings to understand things. I write OK but reading, is not my forte. Long words muddle me up, but when I have visuals to see with the words it often helps > > http://heartfixer.com/AMRI-Outcomes-Non-CV-Autism-Methyl%20Cycle.htm > > Love Joanne > >
