Hi Tina,

As to if the Bible required circumcision now, the early Christians wondered if

the Gentiles becoming Christians should do it or not.The question was brought to

the " older men " in Jerusalem. They compared scriptures, considered the way God

was dealing with the Gentiles, considered the reports of and others, and

asked for the Holy Spirits guidance. They came to unanimous conclusion that it

was not necessary for Christians. You can read more in Acts 15:1-29. The

decision was sent by letters to the congregations. Vs 20, and 29 give the things

necessary. There still was a problem for some years in the Jewish Christians

wanting to still hold on to aspects of the Law covenant. Those were not pagan,

so those were not essentially bad, but were missing the point in that Christ

fulfilled the Law. There are some scriptures where gives counsel on that

point. Hope this helps. I have read where the 8th day is best because of the

body having better clotting ability by that day.

Great article,Thankyou.I was pretty uninformed,18 years ago,and I had not much

knowledge of what circumcision was.Seems everyone did it,so,it must be ok.

Was watching these videos of they poor girls in Africa that get

circumcised.Barbaric.
