Guest guest
At the one year mark, my doctors and my Naturopthic Doctor did not know if I was going to live. I was extremely ill, a great testament for having your implants removed en bloc, which mine was not. 1990. Guest guest
Lynda, How are you doing now? Have you mostly recovered? Thanks for sharing. Guest guest
Lynda dear... I do remember now your telling me about that, when somehow I got your name and called you after I discovered my implants were ruptured. I don't even remember now how I got your name. But that is why I agonized over what to do and what doctor to use, and did everything I could to make sure I got a good surgeon. I look back now and realize how sick I was - sicker than I realized at the time. I do not think I would be alive today had I not had the implants removed when I did. A little after the fact, but thank you - your words started me on the right path. > > >Rogene and Lynda, > >As both of you are several years further down > >the road on your recovery, I was wondering if > >you might briefly tell me how you were feeling > >at the one-year mark, and how it compares to > >your health now. Guest guest
Rogene and Bindi... and all... It was a little over two years for me, that I started working part time again. At one year I was still pretty sick but better than I was at expant. I was still very depressed, fatigued and in pain (joint and muscle pain). By two years, though, my health had substantially improved. I know that I have said this until some of you are probably sick of hearing me say it, but my blood tests are now normal. NORMAL! They had been abnormal consistently before my explant, and not just my ANA. It seemed every week something worse was happening, and some new antibody showed up. By the time I had my explant, my health was declining exponentially. Guest guest
Thank you Molly, it is always good to know that we make a difference. I think I was the first one Patty contacted also. And look where she has taken this now. We never know the importance of a single contact, so I tell all women to just keep helping others, pass it on. That is the most important thing we can all do with the information we have learned from each other.
