Guest guest
Hi Shari, We moved from San Diego to Oklahoma 20 years ago so that we could afford for me to stay at home after our kids were born. In San Diego the cost of living is so high, both my husband and I would need to have worked to enjoy any standard of living there. In Oklahoma, we can live very nicely on one income. Housing is much cheaper here, as well as car insurance and most everything else. Our home here is a palace in comparison to what we had in San Diego. There are many areas where the cost of living is cheaper than California or Florida. For your peace of mind, it may be a wonderful thing for you to move, even though it is away from your family. If you could enjoy a nice standard of living, without worrying about working again, it could be a huge burden that was lifted from you.
