hi all,

I had my pre-op appointment and they have to move my suregery now to

Tuesday, 11/21! a day earlier!

The dr. said she was shocked I didn't go with deflation (to make

sure I was " sure " ) and conveyed that this little-known procedure for

explants was just discussed at a conference she was at - so, it may

be suggested more in the future when women request explant. :) be

forewarned. But she was much warmer and accepted my view.

I have a veritable pharmacy of prescriptions! And many supplements

too, of which I am familiar, of course. I am not a fan of the

drugs, and would love your ideas....

Supplements:(started 2 wks prior and continue for 6 wks after)

Multi Vitamin 2 x a day (making sure Vitamin in is less than 50 IU)

bromelain

arnica (2 days prior)

ester c

iron

Drugs:

Celebrex (she thinks it keeps patients off the narcotics, or they

use less) - I have heard bad things about this.

Reglan (for nausea)

Ativan (anti anxiety) - morning of, and as needed

Vicodin and Percoet - first start w/ Tylenol, if that doesn't work,

move to Vicodin, if that doesn't work move to Perc

Ambien for sleep as needed(don't want to even if I can't sleep)

Keflex - antibiotics

Flexeril - for muscle spasms

Then, lympathic massage 2-3 times per week for 4 weeks (I like

this!!)

Also, she says eat 80 grams of protein a day, as this speeds up

healing.

They keep you for 3-4 hours in recovery afterwards - I was shocked -

the first ps had me in and out.

Thanks, wise ladies!!
