I have spoken with someone in this group already about this condition

and got some good advise. But, I need to know if anybody else has had

this problem. To make a long story short, my neph refered me to a

urologist for prostatitis. He (checked, ohhhhhhhh) I did have a

prostrate infection for which he has put me on Baxtrum for 30 days.

Every since I have been taking this along with the rest of my meds

I have been constipated and (close your eyes ladies) not able to pass

gas. I think this might be the cause of my flank pain being so

bad for the last 2 weeks. Can prostatitis infection effect the

urinary track and the kidneys? I don't know if it's this or the

other meds I am taking but I do know that if I could go to the

bathroom I would feel a WHOLE allot better. Here is a list of what

else I take.

Accupril 40mg 1day

norvasac 10mg 1day

xanax .25 1day

prilosac 20mg 1day

Baxtrum 500mg 2day

Lortab 500mg when needed.

Any home remedies to help with this? While I am at it this is also

new to me. I never noticed the foamy urine till I was told I IGA.

Then I looked for it all the time. It has always been like that up

until about 10 days ago. Now I only see the foam maybe 1 out of the

7 to 10 times I go to the bathroom now not like everytime before that.

I am trying to figure out if the protein has come down a little.

Sorry to be so graphic but I was wondering if anyone else out there

could share some of their experiences on these subjects.

Dear

Welcome. Don't know if women's bits react the same ways as mens, but I

have had repeated waterwork problems, UTI''s and constriction of

ureters. Now in my case the answer is yes it definitely did affect my

kidneys because my bladder function was compromised, consequently

leading to reflux of the urine back up the renal track, this was

alleviated only by self cathetisation until the inflammation of the

ureter calmed down, or in my case 3 surgeries to open them up again.

Sorry I cant be more specific but I thought this might help.

Hello ,

Being female this is a problem I haven't encountered.......surprise! Some of

us ladies though have had other urinary tract problems and I know when

something different happens worry sets in. How about surfing the internet

about the problems of prostatitis and see if you get any clues to your

questions, as I'm sure there will be and discuss with your Doc next visit.

Take care.

Sally.
