Ambien has been on the market for at least eight years - They are really pushing it on TV now though! It's all about money. What's new? . . . Never forget that YOU are the one who must take responsibility for your health! . . . They really don't care about anything but the bottom line!Emerald Kittee <emeraldkittee@...> wrote: I know! I heard some ok stuff about it, too, Rogene! I also read it is just over a year old? I just talked to my

mom who says she was given some sleeping aid when I was a kid and her whole right side was paralyzed, she fell out of bed, and couldn't move or talk for a whole day. You gotta wonder - we do share some of the same genetics, so I am taking this as a warning that I need to stay away from sleeping pills. If it works easily for others, I am glad, but just shows you we are all individuals and certain body chemistries go haywire with certain drugs. I really don't want to take the Lorazepam (anti anxiety) the day of now - I have to take anitbiotics, anti-nauseau, and celebrex -the idea of the anti anxiety drug makes me anxious, lol, so I figure this should be MY choice? My boss is letting me stay home again - I can't walk much less drive right now.> >> > I have been having trouble sleeping/staying asleep and since I am > > now sick and need to get well for explant on Friday, the dr. ok'd > me > > taking an ambien. I don't intend to ever take it again. Paralysis of the muscles and falling when attempting to walk is not a mere annoying 'side effect' but a serious warning that something is dangerously wrong. Honey, I love you, but I never use this word...the infamous Canadian interrogative! We should leave it to the Torontonians. looked over my shoulder this morning and said, "What are you and Sunny going to be: the MacKenzie Sisters?" [For American readers, this was a hilarious Canadian comedy show from a few years ago now that featured the adventures of two Ontario brothers who called everybody "hosers" (even their dog was called "Hosehead") and said "eh" all the time.] You should know by now that I am Old World. When my daughter came to visit us from California, she would use this word constantly, just to emphasize that she was a Canadian by birth, but it it bothered me after a while. I guess that I have lost my sense of humor. always says that it would be a good idea if I grew some skin!

Sunny, you are a blessing to this group....love you....Lea

Melmed prescribed Celexa for inflammation, just for a short period. i think it's pretty safe for short periods. I wouldn't worry about it. I was much more worried about the pain medications, so I only took Tylenol after surgery.

Re: severe pain on right side - Ambien?

-Thanks Sunny, and yes, Lorezapam and Ativan is the same. They said it was up to me about that one, but they MAKE you take celebrex. I told them I couldn't afford the $300 bottle they wanted me to get, so I only got 7 pills, which was the minimum the ps said I could get. So, Friday morning it will be Ativan, Keflex, and Reglan (nausea). Some of the other ladies here said celebrex could be an issue if it was taken for a long time. Mixing them is freaky to me as well - I am not on a single prescription drug, so my system isn't quite used to it.-- In , "Sunny" <wellnessnow@...> wrote:>> , I've taken Ativan before (lorezapam sp?)
