Guest guest
In Reguard to the comment that Steve made about City medics being in a hurry or rushed where as a private medic can take the time with the patient is completly not true. We take alot of time with our patients and we care very well for the people that we come in contact with. Although there are times due to the patient condition where it is not feesible to sit on scene for an extended period of time... where the best place for that patient is in the hospital in the care of a physician as in our trauma patients, surgical type patients... steve you know that these patient need to be taken to a facility ASAP.. As far as the routine medical calls yes we do take our time even if our system is -5, and we might have a real sick lady that does not want to go to the hospital. We will stay on scene with that lady until she consents for treatment and transport, or until despite all of our efforts she does not want to go.. if that takes 5 minutes or 1 hour OUR FIRST AND FORMOST PRIORITY IS OUR PATIENTS not the all mighty dollar you as well as your wife both at one time were employed by the City of Beaumont and you know that has always that if we need to essentially set up shop to care for our patients that we can but he also tells us that there is a time and a place for that and in the surgical or truama patient for example that is not apperopriate that immediate transport to the hospital is key..
