Guest guest
Hello Everyone, I was referred to this site from a woman who has her story posted on explantation.com and I am experiencing some problems. I had a BA done in April '03 and since that time I have experienced an array of problems including: dizziness, nausea, fainting, numbness and tingling in feet and knees, fatigue, chronic GI problems, unknown skin rashes, difficulty concentrating, back pain and so on. I never thought that these symptoms could be related to having implants until my mother brought it up. Now that I have been doing research it seems likely. I did not have insurance for the longest, but now that I got married I am now insured and have had blood work done. Everything came back normal except for an elevated ANA (1:80). All of this time people have referred to me as the hypchondriac because I always have so many symptoms that are unexplainable. Really...I am not making them up though...wish I was. My doctor has now referred me to a gastroenterologist and a rheumatologist. My appointments are not until December. I reside in Austin, TX and I have been reading about Dr. Mehmed (sp?). I guess some of my question are..for those of you have had elevated ANA's and who have undergone explantation did your ANA levels return to normal? Also, what are the capsules that I keep reading about? Is that in all BA's? I have saline implants that were inserted under the muscle. For those of you who have undergone explantation...what are the chances of coming out disfigured? Of course I would always put my health before looks, but it is still somewhat important. Luckily my breasts were pretty stretched out before due to having a child and I did not go that big so I am hoping that if I decide to have them removed that I will look fairly normal or at least pre-BA. I would appreciate any advice. Also, has anybody been able to get the explantation surgery covered on their insurance? I know that is probably a long shot. Thanks, jadecullen@...
