Guest guest
Lea, I don't have this condition. It sounds horrible to have to endure. Do you have arthritis? I can't remember. If so, maybe it's an added misery. A lady I knew in the past who had severe arthritis used to wake up at 5 a.m. and take alfalfa tablets (lots of trace minerals in that plant cuz the roots go down 20 ft. deep into the ground) and Vitamin E capsules just so she could get out of bed at 7 a.m. to barely function all day long. Maybe this could help you. Ofcourse, as you already know, any natural should be taken a hour or two before or after allopathic meds. Love, love, and more love, Sunny xo > > Thank you for this, Kenda. We have a doctor here who won a case in court regarding CFS. I am not sure if I have CFS, but for me it is the pulling down pain in my back rib cage that destroys my life. I was up at 5AM, and now my day is over because I can no longer sit. It feels like something is pulling my upper back downward! The pain is so bad, and we are at a loss as to what is causing this...I have had this condition for so many years. The doctors have told me that I have chest wall damage from the ruptured implants. Guest guest
Lea, that sounds awful!! Have you seen any holistic practioners? like a chiropractor? what did they say? I know there are alot of anti-inflammatory type diets out there - Null's books, and I think Perricone's is as well. Have you tried to drastically change your diet at all? Guest guest
Dearest : What a brave lady you are. You have been through so much, and yet you still remain so positive. I have not seen anyone, other than my rheumatologist. My doctors feel that physio-therapy would help me to get moving again. I plan on doing this as soon as we get settled. Which foods would help with the inflamation? I am on blood-thinners. Sending love and healing...Lea ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`` Re: Re: CFS is real!> > > > > > > > CDC: Chronic fatigue syndrome is real> > By KIM ARCHER World Staff Writer> > 11/27/2006 > > > > A local medical director says the hardest part of getting help > can be> > finding a physician who believes you.> > > > After years of ridicule and dismissal, chronic fatigue syndrome > sufferers> > may feel validated since the U.S. government has declared the > disease real.> > > > In early November, the national Centers for Disease Control > launched an> > awareness and educational campaign called, "Get Informed. Guest guest
hello Lovely Lea, Alot of ladies can speak about how diet helped them tremendously. I suggest if you are up for it, getting some Weil books at the library. Also, Null, and Perricone, too. But Weil is very 'user friendly'. Don't expect your rheum. dr to be supportive, of course, but perhaps fine tuning your diet would help. An anti-inflamatory diet will cut out things like white flour, sugar, etc., add more fruits and veggies (though those in the night-shade family, like tomatoes and eggplants can increase inflammation), increase pure water consumption, etc. Sometimes when I wanted a non traditional view on something afflicting me I would just go to google and type the ailment and then " holistic " or " natural " and just see what came my way. Getting more info made me feel better because I was being pro-active at least. I know you'll hear alot of this type of diet in conjuction w/ arthitis, but I believe CFS is considered an inflammation, is that correct? I knew a lady whose dr put her on such a diet for her CFS and Fibromyalgia - I didn't know she had been so sick, because she was really glowing. good luck!!! http://nutrition.about.com/od/dietsformedicaldisorders/a/antiinflamfo od.htm http://www.randomhouse.com/knopf/weil/diet.html http://www.angelhealingcenter.com/Anti-InflammatoryDiet.html > > > > Lea, I don't have this condition. Guest guest
Thanks IMHO, a good diet is seriously underated. The fact is, we simply can't get the nutrition to heal our body with the modern diet, unless we become proactive about understanding our body's needs. Convenience foods, processing, microwaving, pasturizing, plus herbicides, pesticides, antibiotics, hormones don't help! I'd also suggest "The Great Physician's RX", or "The Maker's Diet" both by Rubin. Rogene
Guest guest
Diet is so much important than any of us give credit. I wrote a few days ago about how I have changed my eating to lean down. Over 30 day's time, I have seen amazing results with changing my food alone, no exercise changes and no cardio at all. What this means to me is that I wasn't eating properly to heal after exercise. What it also means is that it is even more important to someone who is trying to heal after illness or disease. Be sure to eat foods from the protein group, starch, and fruits and vegetables. All groups are equally important to your healing. Kenda > Thanks > > IMHO, a good diet is seriously underated. Guest guest
Well said Rogene. Yes, I bet we could glean a bit of great info from most of the authors mentioned. Jordan Rubin (Maker's Diet) emphasizes probiotics and cultered foods, which is pretty interesting. Another one is the Halelujah Diet - that is mostly a living foods regime. I am not promoting any one - they all have some sound info. Again, I like to read everything about nutrition whether I initially buy into it or not, then see what resonates with me.
