Jeanne, I set the thermostat for 130, and get in immediately . . . When it starts getting uncomfortable, I open the door a little. . . Usually I'll stay in for fourty minutes and may up it if I'm slow to start sweating. By the time I get out, it's usually just getting to 130. If you'll excercise before getting into the sauna, you'll sweat easier . . . Also . . . one of the ladies recommended rubbing a fresh lemon over your body . . . that she sweated much better afterwards. Keep in mind that, if you're really toxic, you may have a difficult time with heat of any kind. . . You won't sweat much, if at all. . . That's when you need to gradually increase the time and temperature - don't stay in the sauna too long if you're not sweating. One sign of heat stroke is when a person is hot but not sweating . . .

Drink plenty of water before, during and after using the sauna. Hugs, Rogene

Jeanne, I used to not sweat at all...EVER. When I bragged about this with my kinesiologist, he got very concerned. He explained that we need to sweat in order to release toxins built up in our skin. He then explained that our personal care products such as soaps and lotions can clog our pores, making sweating more difficult. He suggested sitting in a hot bath...for as long as I could stay. This opens the pores up. Then right before getting out, to cut some lemons in halves and rub them on my skin (sqeezing the juice out as I go). Then give a quick rinse. Then sit in the sauna. He said to do this every day for a week or two. I did just that. Now, I sweat gallons. You may just have clog pores from using soap since birth. jeanne allegra <gmmjfa@...> wrote: I wondered if anyone has encountered a sweating problem. I do not sweat very much. For those of you using a far infrared sauna, what Celsius temp do you set it at? How long do you stay in? Any tips to begin sweating more? Hi Jeanne, I am glad to see you are still hanging in there! Sorry to hear that you are having trouble sweating though....it does happen to some people, and it is not a good thing. There has got to be a way to get you to sweat, so you can start moving some of those toxins outside your body. You are probably quite toxic, so make sure you don't overdo it. You might feel pretty yucky for awhile once you do start to get that stuff moving out. First of all, it sounds to me like you need to do a liver cleanse, or get your liver to not be too sluggish. A coffee enema may help there. You can try those things in conjunction with your sauna. It looks like gave you some great suggestions with unclogging your pores, and so let us know if that works for you. Pattyjeanne allegra <gmmjfa@...>
