Guest guest
Hi Lovell, Sorry, I know this email was for Joanne, but I was pretty shocked when I read it. Lovell, you must start taking coconut oil into your diet..... YOU MUST! I know you must be thinking, have you lost your mind telling me what to do....but it's only because I don't want you suffering anymore then what you have to. This is why I say this, I actually stumbled across some information about Coconut oil on the Internet, and then I bought a book called the Coconut Cure. I read that book twice and instantly bought some Coconut oil and started to put Coconut oil, and milk into as much as my diet as I could. I was getting EXTREME back pains, and I do mean extreme and chest pains. The Coconut oil has taken most of that pain away from me, and it gives me energy. It's also has done wonders for my skin. The benefits of Coconut oil just go on and on and on and on. And then the next thing I know, Joanne, Bee, Dr. Mercola. Dr Oz, and everyone was starting to talk about Coconut oil, so I knew I was on the right track, but then I started learning that alot of them were talking about eating it right off of the spoon. Blahhhh I can't do that. Still can't, so this is what I do. If I want eggs for breakfast, I put like a half a teaspoon of Coconut oil in the pan, along with some butter, salt pepper or what have you, and you don't taste it. Every meat I cook, I always add just abit of Coconut oil. Not so much to where you can taste it. Plus I use Coconut milk in alot of recipes I make these days. And if nothing else, and I don't end up using the Coconut oil in a recipe, then I rub it on my body, because your skin is the largest organ that we have, and you can bet that your body is absorbing it. Plus.... I buy Jarrow Formulas 100% Certified Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil 1000mg Softgels. I take roughly six of those a day through out the course of the day. Usually two to three with each meal. I did notice in the beginning that when I didnt take the Coconut oil that my energy would drop and the pains in my back came back, and once I started taking it again, I regained my strength and the pains left which made me a firm believer. Also the book that I have The Coconut Cure is nothing short of amazing. I love everything I learned in that book. I highly suggest you get a copy of it to really understand why this stuff is so good. You asked about mixing it into a smoothy. The problem is that Coconut oil goes hard when its cold, so its actually better to put it into something that warm or hot. P.S Update on the water.... I don't know if its the water thats doing it...??? But I slept last night for the first time in months and months a full eight hours sleep. I didnt take any Valerian or Melatonin either. I have no idea if the water had anything to do with it or not, but am pretty pysched that I actually slept that long. Big Healing Hugs, Carol To: fibromyalgiacured From: lovell_w_2002@... If I make a shake of juice and fruit in the mornings do you thing the coconut oil would mix up well into that? Subject: The Water Cure To: fibromyalgiacured Date: Saturday, January 29, 2011, 10:07 AM Hi Everyone, Well Ive decided to try the water cure on top of the high fat diet and to see what kind of results I get. Im on my second day today. I have had to pee alot, as you are suppose to drink half of your body weight in oz a day. In other words, if you weigh 130lbs, you would have to drink 65 oz of water a day. And your also suppose to have a pinch of sea salt on your tongue a day and wash it down with water. This program comes from the book called. Your bodys many cries for water. I don't own the book yet, but I have seen alot about it on the Internet. I am trying this because I can remember the first time that I got well from Fibro, I had drank at least two liters of water a day back then. So I'm giving this a wurl. Wish me luck. My dizzyness finally subsided yesterday so I am really greatful for that. Still have a very congested chest, but with all of this water intake it should help minimize it. Its also helping me drink less Coffee so thats obviously a plus. I'm going to keep at it for at least two weeks to maybe a month and see what kind of results I get from this. If I have wonderful results then I will keep it going. And I will keep you all posted on how Im progressing. I am determined to stick this out, because although yes I do drink water already, but no where near enough. I never have, except for the one time that I did manage to heal myself back in 1998 from Fibromyalgia. So I'm going to stick through this with all I have. You might be thinking to yourself big deal she's going to drink water...lol but to me it is a big deal because my family is always getting on to me that I don't drink enough of it. I usually have a cup of coffee in my hands, so it really is a big deal here. LOL Much love to you all, thank you all for being there. I love our group! Guest guest
Hi Lovell and Carol, I really want to do the CO as I too saw it on Dr. Oz last week! That is so funny as it is now an American known (big smile). I wish he would have warned thyroid patients though, as some can't handle it. I'm just coming out of some bad fibro and thyroid chemical imbalance so I can't start it now. But I plan to get a Thai dr and wean off the synthroid and cytomel and one day replace it with CO. I'm glad you caught it on Dr. Oz Carol. I was shocked. I hope you start it Lovell. Just start out small as with anything and build. If I didn't have thyroid problems I'd have been doing it for months. Does anyone know about blue cheese crumbles? LOL, switching the conversation here. I've been so bored with my diet, I added them to my salad, which means I now have dairy in my diet. And it's so nice to have something tasty. I also added red cherry tomatoes to my salad and rice vinegar along with olive oil. That is like gourment compared to my my boring repetitive Paleo diet. B4 my salad was just lettuce and olive oil and sea salt, borrrrringggg. Take care you two.
