Guest guest
This is a fun thinker, Ann, First..Resolution: I won't make resolutions I can't keep. That means I won't need a list, HA. Second..Revelation: I am going through a feel great season. Since following a diet regimen with strict vitamin intake, cider vinegar, and regular church attendance( yes, yes, going to church), I am finding strength and vigor...both physically and spiritually. Third: Accomplishments         A.Volunteering in poorer section of town and helping the isolated and unwanted.      B. Back to painting lotsa good things and writing stories. Simple and silly maybe but it was advise given by a wonderful spiritual director and found this life recipe works. It keeps drama and difficulties to a minimum.            KISS = Keep It Simple, Silly. Thank you, Ann. You made me smile today. Aww, shucks, I am always smiling nowadays. LOL. Love and wonderful New Year Greetings to All,  Subject: What goals do you have for the upcoming year in regard to your fibromyalgia..... Guest guest
you are so right. Painting and writing helps us journal and express our self and that always reduces pain for me. I had an episode and I sat right down and journaled it. Know what I found out. When I¹m in pain I block out the light of God. Ha!! The way my thinking wants to work is what vitamin did I forget to take, what cream can I rub on my sore legs, what exercise did I do to hurt myself.....the same old hamster wheel of thinking. Well as I journaled I realized that I was seeing the body as in chare of me, and that God is really in charge of me. Instead of looking to him(her) LOL, I look to vitamins?? Its ok to take anything but I need to remember God at those times too. I came out of my funk when I saw this. It brightened me right up. What is God to me? Love, courage, joy, peace and gratitude. No matter how much pain I feel I can remember to do that too and get back in touch with the light of God. Have a great day. rosemarie > > > > > > This is a fun thinker, Ann, > First..Resolution: I won't make resolutions I can't keep. Guest guest
Welllllll, hellooooo there, RoseMarie! It is good to hear from you. What have you been painting lately? I am on a magnolia, still working on the peacock, about to start on cafe scenes. As long, God Willing, health is good I am planning to keep busy. During this season, been writing plays for students and seniors. It has been a beautiful Christmas. Yes, RoseMarie, Journaling helps the psyche respond with a better view of God and of self. Discovery of God beside us and inside of us is a profound experience. So diet for the body with painting, journaling for the psyche, plus God and prayer for our heart and soul. That is my recipe...oh, with KISS, lol. Love to you and NOVA, how is cutie doing? Love to all our friends with fibro, > > From: ann logan <annlogan05@... <mailto:annlogan05%40yahoo.com> > > Subject: What goals do you have for the upcoming year in > regard to your fibromyalgia..... > To: fibromyalgiacured > <mailto:fibromyalgiacured%40yahoogroups.com> > Date: Thursday, December 30, 2010, 9:32 AM > >  > > Wanted to know if anyone would be willing to share any accomplishments or > revelations in regard to their fibromyalgia, no matter how small, for the past > year of 2010? Guest guest
share any accomplishments or revelations in regard to their fibromyalgia, no matter how small, for the past year of 2010? Also, any goals in regard to your fibromyalgia for the up coming year of 2011.*** Well the biggest thing was I got diagnosed with fibro. I had a gastro emptying test yesterday which will probably dx me with gastroparesis since the food did not go anywhere the whole time like it was supposed to. <G> This next year, I am getting on a organic plant supplement program, exercising again, and getting my business going stronger. I also want to get on and stay on my gluten-free diet without cheating so I will feel better, etc. maryruth
Guest guest
Hi maryruth: I never heard of gastroparesis. What is this? Have you had this before? I wish you well on your new years resolutions. Exercise is good. Do it lightly for a while though. I have been known to be a ³weeken warrior² and then regret it later. Happy New Year. rosemarie > > > > > > share any accomplishments or revelations in regard to their fibromyalgia, no > matter how small, for the past year of 2010? Guest guest
Gastroparesis is when the stomach does not empty itself in a normal fashion. There are various things that start happening to your body when you have this. From my reading, it appears that those with fibro may be susceptible to this disorder. I don't know. I will have the test results monday. I have read about the type of diet I may have to follow. JoAnne, thanks for your info. I drink pineapple juice for the enzymes. I learned about this on the flaxseedoil2 list. I can not stomach sauerkraut as it makes me throw up. Have never been able to eat it. I need to do more research on Bee's site. I have it bookmarked but have not taken the time to read it yet. maryruth
