God bless and take care.

I am fortunate enough to have a primary care physician who is a medically (and

traditionally) trained acupuncturist. He is of Korean descent but was trained

in this country so I feel as if I'm getting the best of both eastern & western

medicine.

Acupuncture works for me and from what I've heard, it works for everyone who

" lets it. " In other words, you have to believe in it to begin with. I went in

one day with a lot of pain in my neck and walked out 45 min. later with

virtually no pain at all.

My health insurance does pay for the acupuncture, maybe because my doc is an

M.D., don't know for sure. I hope this helps.

I don't think you have to believe in it for it to work. Animals don't

" believe " in it and it works for them. In fact it was invented in China as a

veterinary medical treatment.

You do however, have to give it time to work, and have enough appointments

to allow it to correct the problem. If you have an ongoing problem you have

to remember it took time to get messed up, it also takes time to heal. A lot

of people for whom it doesn't work only have one or two treatments and

pronounce it a failure.
