A couple posts were about white powder coming out... I'm pretty sure that's the candle. The ear candles are made of white powder and wax. (If you search "ear candling" "white powder" -it also comes up as being made of white powder and wax.) I have friends who do these regularly, because another friend is a massage therapist. I'm too chicken, plus it costs $30.

My hubby (who does physical construction labor, among other things) had his ears cleaned out (not candled) before and somehow had a tiny stone (about the size of cat litter) in one... Plus, we were in a tornado once (litteraly outside in a tornado) and I had to have MULCH cleaned out of my ears. Anything can get in there...

It's been my experience that white powder does not show up in

everyone's ear candle. Also, the candles are made of different

materials, so some may create a white powder when they are burnt.

It sure does feel nice to have it done. I think there is a general

misunderstanding about the candles. They are not regular candles.

They are hollow inside. When I had mine done, the practitioner put a

whole in an aluminum pie plate, in the center, and place the ear

candle in the whole, and then in my ear. The pie plate served as a

tray to catch any wax that may drip. It's perfectly safe, if done

the right way. Please keep in mind, that there are alot of people in

the world that try to discredit any natural methods, due to the fear

of losing money in the medical industry. Some of the links on the net

are not to be taken too seriously. Not that I have to mention that to

THIS group, as we've all been through that nightmare, and are still

dealing with it.

Love you all,

Sunny :)
