Guest guest
I spoke with an anesthesiologist the other day on an L & D round. I asked him about Raplon (Racuronium, I believe). He stated that he didn't use it anymore because the general consensus among his peers is that it tends to cause bronchospasm and tachycardia, at least more often than sux. Its big promise was that it wouldn't have the Potassium shift caused by Sux and might be more usable for known renal failure, metabolic MI, etc patients that you have to consciously sedate. That said, what research have you done so far on each med? I'd recommend going to a search engine and looking up each medicine, and seeing what comes up. There's a lot of information out there. Mike [texasems-L] medications does any body have information on a med called Raplon, i would also like to find toatl information on succinycholine and etomodate. if someone has this info would/could you please send it my way. what meds do you recommend to keep your pt sedated after you have successfully intubated and with assit with assist of vesed, suxx, or norcuron. what are your thoughts and concerns? makemson Port arthur EMT-P ------------------------------------------------------------------------ The race is on!
