Hi Sue,

I have forgotten how long ago it was that you had your explant. Has it been quite a long time?

Dizziness and vertigo were my worst symptoms with implants-- in fact they were the first ones I got. I went to many ENT doctors, none of whom could give me a straight answer. I still have dizziness now, and I have had occasional full-on vertigo relapses-- but it is much better. I had my explant one year ago.

The eye movement you get from dizziness is called nystygmas. It has nothing to do with the eyes, really, but is caused by the brain in response to misinterpretation of signals from the inner ear. You could go to an ENT (ear-nose-throat) doc if you want to make sure of the cause of your dizziness, but I have a feeling he/she would just send you back to a neurologist, so you'd be back where you are started.

For me, the dizziness seems to be connected with all the other symptoms-- meaning, when other things are better, the dizziness is better. Focusing on healing the whole body might be the best course in getting rid of this evil monster. Getting enough sleep is crucial.

It definitely sucks, and I feel for you. I hope you get some relief soon!

Re: neurologist patty

The dizziness is the worst thing really I hate it more than any other symptom.

I will try the cod liver oil though, anything is worth a go.

Bindi,

thanks for your email I found it really useful. My lack of sleep could well be a factor, since this illness began I have not slept a full nights sleep, I wake about 5-6am and that is it for me I am fully awake but very tired. I have had my ears checked, one (the left) is blocked and nothing seems to clear it, my Dr has not referred me to the ENT at the hospital yet though. maybe I should suggest it. I have been very bad at dettoxing and I really should put much more effort into it, then like you said it may help to fix other things and the dizziness will go, I am certainly going to try. This is what's so wonderful with this group, so many women can share their experiences to help someone else.

Thanks Bindi
