Guest guest
Lea, it's hard to find a MD who is schooled in both. Mind you, there are medical doctors who are studying herbology, as we speak, because so many people are asking about it. People are literally dying waiting for surgery. It's so sad to me, when there's alternatives, and they aren't told about it. This is an area that really stirs up my " wrath of granny " . When I was doing healing sessions years ago, a friend of mine came to me and asked if I knew anything, or anyone that could help her friend's daughter (14 yrs. old) dying of leukemia. I said, YES! and said if her mom wants to contact me I'll put her in touch with some alternative professionals that I knew personally that had great results, over and over again. Her friend decided not to try anything new and her daughter died months later. I was so sad & hurt, imagining if it had been my daughter or son....I would go to the ends of the earth for a cure. If they're going to die anyway, why not??? I know fear plays a big part....and for the most part, IMHO (computer lingo I learned from Rogene) the medical community does place fear in people. They told my son & wife to abort ...cuz he wouldn't live to term. And when he was born...they said he would not live past 2 yrs. old. He's 6 yrs. old now and just kickin' butt in life! How dare they play God. It caused my son & daughter-in-law alot of stress and unnecessary concern. The whole family was affected. I don't have an ND here in Red Deer....frankly, because of finances. Otherwise, I would. When I would ask my MD about taking a specific herb, he wouldn't know anything about it. The pharmacists seem to be up-to-date, quite nicely, I've noticed lately. There's a female pharmacist at Wal-Mart here in Red Deer that is really knowledgeable. I frequently ask her questions. Last year, when I had spider bites, and a huge abscess - this was one ugly reaction and I was not willing to go the Oil of Oregano route, I thought my flesh was going to be eaten away!!!! I went to the ER and was prescibed 2 meds at once. One was given to me before the IV antibiotics...to make the drugs work better. Well, when I took my prescription to the pharmacy to be filled (as I was coming in for IV treatments 2x a day - and was to take the one med 1/2 hr. before my IV)...the pharmacist looked up my file, as he was the one that had the contract with the hospital in Sundre. He said, " Oh, oh...you can't take these two together...it could shut down your kidneys. " Oh, dear....and my left kidney is weak already. He said he'd phone the doc and let him know. I try to trust and stay positive, but these type of blunders have happened to me too many times. So I am VERY cautious and ask alot of questions. Also, when my step son Tony was 4 and choked, he was in intensive care. I happened to be there with him when a nurse pulled out a needle to give him. At the last second, the supervisor (nurse) asked her, " what are you giving him? " She told her, and the supervisor said, " WHAT!!! " He's supposed to have.........! I am so concerned about the side effects of drugs, being so toxic and all still. I'm going the natural route, unless I HAVE to take something to save my life. It's almost been 5 yrs. since my sister passed away, and the " Tylenol " thing is still fresh in my memory. We do have snow, and cold, cold winds. The termostat in my car went on me the other day, so I haven't driven in 3 days. Today I took the bus to do respite with Emma. It was fun and way less stressful than dealing with the " crazed " Christmas shoppers out there right now!! LOL God bless you and ....ALL-ways at ALL-times! Love & thanks for listening - obviously I needed to share this, Sunny xo p.s. Hope I don't sound to " soap boxy " ...I need to take care of myself in a way that I'm comfortable and feel safe. > > Sunny, my doctors have taken me off all vitiamins because of the blood- thinners. I used to take Vitiamin E and C, plus a multi vit. and it could help my arthritis, but I need my doctors permission first.....thank you. > > Do you have any SNOW, if not we will send you some...love you too......Lea > ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~``````` > Re: Re: CFS is real! > > > > > > > > CDC: Chronic fatigue syndrome is real > > By KIM ARCHER World Staff Writer > > 11/27/2006 > > > > A local medical director says the hardest part of getting help > can be > > finding a physician who believes you. > > > > After years of ridicule and dismissal, chronic fatigue syndrome > sufferers > > may feel validated since the U.S. government has declared the > disease real. > > > > In early November, the national Centers for Disease Control > launched an > > awareness and educational campaign called, " Get Informed.
