Ok, I just talked to that Dr. Wallace's nurse, .

Again, I did not like her much.....she said that Silicone and Saline

breast imlants do NOT cause problems....numerous recent studies have

proven this, according to her.

She assured me that my insurance will NOT pay. I told her that I

talked to them and they said they would, but that I had to have a

letter from my doctor, telling me that it is medically necessary to

have them removed.

She yapped at me some more about how they will not pay, and then she

said that they would not do the surgery on me until I had a letter

from my insurance, stating that they would pay for removal.

She kept cutting into my questions when I tried to tell my " story "

about how ill I've been. She said that the implants could NOT be

causing those problems, and that they still use Silicone implants

themselves, and they are perfectly safe.

On a good note, she said that they use General Anesthesia, and that

the surgery is done in a " surgery center " rather than a hospital.

She said that once I have that letter that states my insurance will

pay for it, then it is normally an 8 to 12 week wait on the

surgery.....:(

I called Dr. Shanklin's office too...he was out, so I left a message

and my number for him to call me back.

I just called my Gyno back too. The nurse said that my hormones

were perfectly fine, like I knew they would be. I expressed my

concern about my implants, and she wrote down the information to

tell the doctor that I want to get an MRI and she is going to ask

him to help me find a surgeon. I told her that I would be leaving

for work at 1:45, so I'm hoping I will hear from her before then,

but it's not likely.

When I had to have my hysterectomy two years ago, this doctor was

great about dealing with all that insurance stuff, so hopefully he

can do the same in this situation.

I can't deal with this headache and shoulder/neck pain much longer!
