Guest guest
Dear Rogene, I'm also so sorry about your arm...I broke my left ankle when I was very ill with this 'disease' we have. My husband was away for a few days, I fell at night, at home alone, had to scoot on my butt to pull a phone off a counter to call 911 and then a neighbor, and...well, you know how those stories just get better and better! LOL! Suffice it to say I survived, and it _does_ make a good story now! LOL! But it was darn painful, and the recovery wasn't much fun. So, I wish you fast healing so you can get out of that darn cast! One piece of advice...my cast was miserable, so I just complained, telling my orthopedist that it was tight, or I was feeling pressure or pain or itching or something way inside, and he did more cast changes on me that about 3 or 4 of his other usual ankle fracture patients combined! But I _was_ more comfortable that way! The squeaky wheel gets the grease! Hugs, > > This cast is causing almost constant pain - but they can't understand that! They claim it's healing in progress. Just over one week to go before it comes off - one way or another! > > I'm sucking down pain pills until then. > > Family coming in today for our Thanksgiving celebration tomorrow! We're putting Christmas decorations our so we can share them with the family too.
Guest guest
Darn! Some orthopods are kinda rough and tough and 'keep ya chin up, lady' kind of guys. I was lucky and had a guy who was very gentlemanly in his treatment of his ladies (female patients!)! He also has a wonderfully kind nurse who works with him! It would be lovely if in your case the doctor could wear your cast for a few weeks! > > I've squeaked and squeaked! . . . If I ever need another otho doc - I won't use this one. Not because of him, but because of his staff! > > This would make a good instrument of torture! - no marks! >
