I'm feeling uncomfortable with this discussion of reporting doctors . . . We need ALL the good doctors we can get . . .I have no doubt doctors read this group. I don't doctors to feel that, if they take on a woman for explant, they will be asking for trouble! . . .NOT SO! 's doctor was over-the-top with the stuff she put through. No doctor in their right mind would treat a patient like this! We are constantly looking for GOOD docs and would be happy to add them to our recommended doctors list! Rogene

Sunny: I agree--it's definitely better to say something at the time or to try to work it out later before going so far as making a formal complaint. I can see how these things happen, though, as so many doctors talk down to us like we're idiots and they're gods. There are many good ones, of course, but my opinion of most ps's is pretty jaded. This experience has made me wary of doctors, but I think Dr. Kolb's great and I like the GP I'm seeing now. I would defintely get several opinions before making a major medical decision, especially after having 7 surgeries on my breasts (and scheduled for another in Jan.) and a back surgery I didn't need (it turned out to be neuropathy from implants causing my pain, not sciatica). I can't watch TV shows like Grey's Anatomy because of how I feel about hospitals and doctors. I feel so sad for you that you've been through so much with all those surgeries, and especially the unnecessary back surgery! That is just so sad, and yet I know it happens to so many people. My own husband was probably headed into back surgery if the doctors would have had their way. He had such terrible back pain, and went through so much treatment, all to no avail. What finally fixed him was doing a kidney cleanse and some coffee enemas! Pain gone! It's amazing how doctors bark up the wrong tree so often.

What surgery are you having in January, if I may ask?
