What excatly is pain management?

I had lower back surgery, eight weeks ago today. I am in more pain

NOW than BEFORE my surgery!!!

I feel like I'm getting jerked around by all of my doctors!

Can I go about getting a pain management doctor myself?? If so

how and what do I need to do?

Depending on your insurance, and even if your insurance won't you could

always pay cash, yes you can self refer to a pain doc.

Although many pain docs will only take patients referred by a another physician.

The first thing you need to do is get all of your medical records. Then call

and schedule an appointment and let the doctor's office know that you will hand

carry your records.
