Guest guest
Hi Joanne, Just one thought now about it. Nutrients work together. You will need less C if you do not have sugar. Too much of one thing can increase your need for something else. Those who ate no plants probably got the nourishment they needed, as long as they did not have sugar, which depletes nourishment. You will be adding some spices to your foods also. I am going to try some sprout making again after a long absence. Some of my seeds and grains may still be viable, as some of them float when put in water. c > > > > Margaret > > Â > > I have been reading more on the MTHFR gene. i am still struggling understanding it, perhaps because I do not already know much about genes, but I will continue reading and see how it fits in with what I do know > > Â > > Anyway, these diagrams are helping a bit. I often need drawings to understand things. I write OK but reading, is not my forte. Long words muddle me up, but when I have visuals to see with the words it often helps > > Â > > http://heartfixer.com/AMRI-Outcomes-Non-CV-Autism-Methyl%20Cycle.htm > > Â > > Love Joanne > > > >
Guest guest
and Joanne, Thank you again for the research information. I am doing all I can to keep my son on low carbs. I keep him as low as I can. I don't know if he is actually in ketosis. I doubt it since he is rewarded at school with dried fruit. They choose to use " food reinforcers " . I have not been able to convince them that this is not the best thing for him. I don't want to rock the boat too much with them since he is small for his age and has been diagnosed with failure to thrive in the past. This diet doesn't help him to gain weight. I am trying to use the supplements to help where I can't be sure that he is in ketosis. Thanks again, Margaret
Guest guest
Hi Joanne, Is this the study you are referring to http://www.neurobiologyofaging.org/article/S0197-4580%2808%2900181-4/abstract Some on Alzheimer http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-11232356 http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/18854539 http://content.karger.com/ProdukteDB/produkte.asp?Aktion=ShowAbstract & ArtikelNr=\ 333790 & Ausgabe=256933 & ProduktNr=229093 vitamin d http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2010/07/100712162624.htm E supplementation http://www.ajcn.org/content/70/5/793.full http://acam.typepad.com/blog/2010/05/orthomolecular-medicine-the-therapeutic-use\ -of-dietary-supplements-for-antiaging.html Hope this helps. c > > Does anybody know if giving my dad 150mg or 200mg of B complex is still safe. Bee recommends 100mg, and then additional niacin and B1. He is having trouble swallowing all his meds, and not 100% sticking to the diet. He sticks to it 90% but is not eatin enough red meat. > Â > I am thinking if I raise his B complex slightly then if he does not have the niacin and B1 he will at least be getting enough of them. My main question is, is it unsafe to have extra B2 B4 B6Â B9Â B12 etc. I know it is not recommended to do this but would just a small amount more than that recommended be dangerous. I do know one person on Bees diet did take 200mg for a while because she had bought the wrong dose. bee allowed it, and I am assuming from this that 200mg is not unsafe, just not recommended because we are getting plenty of Bs from the meat we are all eating > Â > I know nobody here is qualified in nutrition and I wont hold anybody to it if you say it is safe and then it is not. it is down to me and my dad to decide. But just wondering if anybody has any info on this > Â > Love joanne > > > ________________________________ > > To: " fibromyalgiacured " <fibromyalgiacured > > Sent: Monday, 13 August 2012, 18:50 > Subject: Re: MTHFR Gene Mutation/Margaret and > > > > Â > > and Joanne, > Thank you again for the research information.
