After surgery I had various sorts of pain for several weeks-- in the breast/chest area, rib cage, armpits, shoulders. I do believe it really takes time to heal. Our muscles were strained in odd and unnatural ways for years with the implants, and then we went in and had more surgery and had the capsules cut and scraped out, and the tissue and muscles put back where they belong(they get stretched all over the place with implants) and if we have a lift, there's all that, too. It takes time. Odd aches and pains are normal-- at least in my experience. Try and be as gentle as you can with yourself. You'll know when you are up to doing more with your upper body-- it won't bother you, you'll feel looser and less vulnerable.

post-explant pain

hi ladies,Just trying to get an idea of what is 'normal' after explant. I have pain that comes and goes but I have a sensation of some sort at all times - it isn't awful, I don't take any tylenol even - just kind of a burning/stinging pain. My shoulder blades are very sore, probably from moving differently than usual. Is this similiar to anyone's experience? I do have to go back to work tomorrow.

Thanks, Bindi, good to know it's not just me - I guess I am used to

not taking it easy, especially when I got used to 'moving through'

joint pain before. But this time, it's healing pain, not permenent

pain. In some ways I feel better, like my neck and wrist and hand

pain is 'mysteriously' gone. I can't wait to pick up my kitties

again.

, that sounds really familiar to me. I was off pain pills

(Advil) after 2 days. Some pain and mild discomfort for weeks, but

just took it easy. I drove the day after surgery! My son Mike was

shifting gears for me.....think I was still high from the drugs!!!!

LOL Starting working with Emma doing respite care 5 days post-

surgery. As long as I didn't lift anything, I felt good.

Take care of special you,

Love,

Sunny :) xo
