Kate,

Dr. Kolb is wonderful and I bet if she says she can fix you, she will do it. I am so glad you are doing better and that is great. I am also glad you found Dr. Kolb and it sounds like you are on the right track for recovering totally someday. I went to Dr. Kolb for explant and I am so glad, you leave her with a feeling of trust. I don't have to second guess did they leave something in me. That is scary how some doctors just leave major stuff behind, like whoops. My girl friend worked in the hospitals removing silicone implants, she said, Oh Donna what a mess. She said, sometime we just get tired of picking all the stuff out so we just leave it and sew them up. Gross Right. She can't say anything she will lose her job and lively hood. She only hands the surgeon's tools. Nothing surprises me anymore and I will say that with Dr. Kolb, she will pick silicone out for hours, they call her a bull dog. If it takes her 10 hours she will not sew you back up and just forget about it. Thank God for the few caring doctors for explant that will remove everything. Good Luck to you and God Bless!!!

Donna

Hi Patty: I haven't posted much but you may remember that I went to see Dr. Kolb in the spring to get tested for biotoxins. She thought my lingering symptoms were associated with mold (occasional burning feet and rib pain). She also found a couple of large fibrocystic lumps, so the surgery will be to remove them, as they probably contain junk that shouldn't be there, and she might remove lymph nodes (as I'd had double lumen implants prior to the saline and they may contain silicone). My explanting surgeon left some of the capsule in as he didn't want to scrape my ribs, so that could be part of the problem. Dr. Kolb thinks I probably still have mold growing in my chest wall, so I'm trying a stronger antifungal (VFend). Anyway, the good news is that apart from the above symptoms and occasional back pain, I feel like I have my health and energy back again. Kate Tricia Trish

back surgery if the doctors would have had their way. He had such terrible back pain, and went through so much treatment, all to no avail. What finally fixed him was doing a kidney cleanse and some coffee enemas! Pain gone! It's amazing how doctors bark up the wrong tree so often. What surgery are you having in January, if I may ask?
