Guest guest
ok, I did some more research. This new dr. is a type of media liaison for the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery - also, she provided some sort of testimony for the FDA's panel on the Mentor silicone implants, and was quoted as being pleased that the ban on them was lifted. She was hoping for regulations that allowed specific ps's to be able to use them. She wished to make them available to women who wanted them. Is this cause for worry? So far, I am very impressed by her, and we are on the same page as far as the explant, and her attention to detail, wanting my records, etc, is most comforting. Ultimately, they all are plastic surgeons and make their money that way. I don't want to shoot myself in the foot and not go to her just because our opinions differ on whether implants are safe or not. Finding a ps who abhors all implants is a pipe dream, so I am not sure I should let these recent findings color my impression of her if we agree on all the points of MY explant.
