Maybe if EVERY woman who is explanted and gets her health back goes back to her old doctors and shows him/her how they have recovered after being explanted, the medical profession would begin to take notice. . .

In a desperate plea, and a moment of weakness, I called Mentor a couple of weeks ago and spoke with one of their patient advisors asking if they had any type of assistance to help me explant. She swore she'd not heard of anyone getting sick from "Salines" (which we know is BS)... and I told her I wasn't calling to try to sue, or get them to admit liability -or anything else like that, and that I wasn't stupid and know she's heard of this -and that all I was asking was if they'd help me explant.

Of course, she said "no," but she did "seem" to note my symptoms, took a report, and told me if I felt well after explant to call her. (I lost where I wrote her name down.) While I know she was just being kind to passify me... but in addition to going back to doctors to show them we got well --- we should also make sure we are letting Mentor, Inamed (sp), and Dow know we are getting well. I know some of you have done this, and it seems like a worthless cause... but maybe if we ALL start doing it enough in high enough numbers "something" will change.

Maybe we won't get implants banned... maybe they will NEVER take them off the market... but "maybe" someday our illness will at least be acknowledged and maybe they will at least "warn" women about the possibility of illness.

Just like a PS I had seen years ago... he said he couldn't "agree" with me, but also couldn't look me in the eye and say for sure implants weren't making me sick. Then he later told a doc of mine that after he saw me, he started making women sign a form warning them of the possibilities of various symptoms. (And I know he really warns them in advance... though I'm sure it doesn't scare off most.) If we go back and make sure all the doctors we've talked to about this see our success later, perhaps they will, at the least, do that.

It would be worth our time if (again, at the least) someday docs will be REQUIRED to warn women... though we can still hope for more!!! It might not be enough to deter most women, but I'm sure some would use it as a prompt to get on the net and research this!
