Lana,

Your story is truly remarkable. It appears, for better or for worse, that if we

don't find our

own resources and techniques to improve our health, it won't happen.

I trust medical doctors so much less than I once did. It is sad that there are

so many

closed minds. And, of course, 49% of the doctors graduate in the bottom half of

their

class. ;-)

I feel I am fortunate that I was one who had abnormal lab tests - sounds weird,

no?

But at the very least, doctors told me something was very wrong, and wanted to

help.

I still see a rheumatologist, although I have changed doctors recently. I do

not see a

neurologist, because I have no MS symptoms - I was also diagnosed with MS, as

well as

lupus. I do not take any of the MS drugs, which were prescribed to me, because

of the

side effects. The neurologists I have seen all say they think I should, but I

feel better

without them. I do take plaquenil, which has been a wonder drug for me.

Mostly, time has helped, and I am starting to exercise again - Yesterday I walked

2 miles

and today I walked a mile and a half. This is such a far cry from where I was

two years

ago.

I am probably more skeptical than most about supplements, foot baths, etc etc.

Of course, I am also skeptical about prescription medications. If I took all

that had been

prescribed to me over the last few years, I would be a basket case. One of the

things I

have learned through all of this is to take doctor's advice as advice, and not

gospel.

I have been far more willing to remove things from my diet, that might be

offending.

Sugar has been a big one. I don't seem to have the hypersensitiivty or

multiple chemical

sensitivity some appear to have, but I am still far more careful now about what

I put into

my body.
