Brig,

((HUGS)) God-I've never heard of a tonic pupil, but it sounds absolutly horrid! There has got to be something out there that will help your nausea! Good luck!

Leyna,

Aw, thanks. It's not horrible now. (It was horrible when it happened.) A tonic pupil is just what it's called after your pupil has blown up (from neuro trauma) and the signals from the retina to the brain are damaged, so it no longer closes wtih light. Mine is about 25% damaged, so it does close some. Some people have it so bad the pupil no longer closes at all, and they have to keep it covered with a contact. (Which is my fear if it blows up again.)

Thanks for all the kind words... best wishes to you, too. I know we're both in the same situation right now --- trying to get explanted!!! I hope we can all heal together soon!!!

Brig :)

Where are you at with your explant?

Still trying to sell my hubby's work SUV or get a loan from his boss against it (which we'll only do if we can't sell it in time -because it's going to be hard trying to pay a loan payment)... and I consult in Norfolk with Dr. Schnarrs on Sept. 15 with hopes I can do it between November and January.

Brig, I hope so too, sweetie! I'm supposed to call my doctor tomorrow to see whether my insurance will cover the surgery...then I have an appointment with a plastic surgeon who takes my insurance on September 7th, so I've got my fingers crossed. Where are you at with your explant? KissofSadness@... wrote: In a message dated 8/29/2006 1:31:41 AM Eastern Standard Time, leyna1964
