The purpose of the laxative is to clean out the bowels so that the stones can

pass freely. It's also, by the way, easier to see the results if there is

minimal stool in the elimination.

Personally, I choose an alternative method of purging the bowels, which is

basically large amounts of apple juice, which also acts as a laxative. But

others choose ES for this purpose. Personal preference, I guess!
