Joanne,

I'm trying to sort out the differing websites that make conflicting statements

such as...

1) ketosis all the time is good and natural

2) if you eat low carb all of the time, your body becomes so efficient at

burning ketones for fuel that you won't actually test as being in ketosis after

a period of time (so how do you do it then?)

3) You will lost muscle tone from long-term ketosis

4) Athletes should rotate between ketosis and carb-loading to prevent muscle

loss & to provide endurance

5) There are negative health effects from ketosis that must be monitored (this

is reported in ketogenic diet literature)

I know you have been researching this info for years, so I'd love to hear your

responses. My cousin fought the keto diet for her daughter's intractable

epilepsy for over 10 years. She finally rolled up her sleeves and tried it and

it was the best thing they ever did -- but they are closely monitored for

" adverse health effects. " My kids and I do much better off the starchy carbs,

but I am not sure we have ever been in ketosis for any length of time.

Thx,

system starts to create a better level of dopamien seratonin and norapinephene

etc. tHis is one reaosn why ketosis helps so much
