Hi Molly, This is not a silly question at all....I was there at one point myself, and the only thing that I found to help my dental pain was taking ibuprofen on regular 4 hour dosages. Of course, you have probably seen your dentist by now, and as usual, I am a day late and a dollar short....I just can't keep up and I am not happy about it! So, what happened with the dentist? I do get those sharp searing dental pains too. Not often, but often enough for me to be very concerned about them. I have heard other women complain of dental issues as well. I WISH we knew what was happening to all these women whose teeth are crumbling in their heads and decaying from the inside out. That scares me! It doesn't happen to everyone, but it does happen often enough with our women to know it is not just a coincidence. All I can

really think of is the magnesium factor, and that perhaps our calcium is not being used or metabolized correctly, hence the various problems with bones and teeth. (I have osteopenia in my spine as well, post implant). Root canals are another story...you might want to check out some of the info regarding their dangers. I got rid of mine and was very glad I did. You may want to make sure you are getting extra magnesium, along with enough minerals in your diet. I think implant sorely mess with our mineral balance, and it gets everything out of whack. Let us know how you are doing now Molly! None of my doctors seem to have on-call staff, including my dentist. Do not ask me why, but today not one returned a page. My internist's 'on-call' service seems to be "off-call" - eg no answering service or callback.Yikes! Anyone have any idea what to do on a temporary basis? Ice packs don't seem to help. It's worse than a root canal. And god knows I have had plenty of those.
